About the Artist and the Inspiration
I became interested in all things dachshund when Betty (shown right) came to live with our family. She immediately took over our household and our lives!
Who could imagine that one extremely cute, velvety smooth creature would soon be running the show? I guess you could say my family and I developed an avid interest in our dachshund, and so began the dachshund art collection.
Little Betty was a wonderful companion: attentive, intuitive, and always entertaining. Betty was our best fur friend and we will always miss her.
Now we have a new little friend to inspire the dachshund art: Daisy [aka] Daisy Cakes. She is a delightful doxie: funny, affectionate, full of energy, and Daisy can run like the wind.
The new ShopDoxies.com reflects the joyous spirit of our dachshund Daisy ... chaser of bees, sunlight, reflections, and dreams.
